Brief History of Applied Alliance, LLC
The name of my business, Applied Alliance, comes from the notion that, while business competition is relentless, it is most often alliances of cooperating businesses that compete. The new Applied Alliance LLC was registered in Austin, Texas in June 2012, shortly after we returned to the USA after 16+ years abroad. This LLC provides a consistent point of contact for federal and other government entities and an anchor for various operations (DBAs) we develop and test.
A goodly number of operations have come and gone since 2012. The most successful has been Austin Word Werks, which provided a consistent income through its Sci-Tech Editing Service (started early 2013). In late 2018, we began developing a new plan to provide four new income streams related to sci-tech editing and writing. This resulted in the creation of two new websites (the most advanced is Austin Word Werks (linked below); the other is not shown here. However, by the end of 2020, it was clear that changing conditions in the USA and abroad (the source of most of my editing work) made these preparations and prospects inadequate in the new post-covid world. We tried to adapt.
In early-2021 an opportunity arose to create an entirely new direction in financial services. After much training, the DBA, AA Cash Connections, became the focus of our work. This allows us to provide alternative business lending for business activities in the USA. Although we serve mostly small US businesses in science and technology, and those active in real estate investing and commercial properties, we are also in a position to help many others (Learn More).
The founder and sole member of Applied Alliance, LLC is David Dugas. He was born in southwestern Louisiana but has also lived in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, San Diego, Seattle, and Daejeon, South Korea. His earliest activities were in what we might now call environmental biology. Later, he taught English at universities abroad for many years, and since 2012, has been a Texas businessman with activities involving editing and writing. As of 2021, he is sharply focused on providing funding for small and medium US businesses that are unable to get bank loans when needed.

Applied Alliance LLC was registered June 2012 in Austin, Texas. It is a point of contact for government entities and umbrella for our business operations (DBAs).
A number of operations have come and gone since 2012. In 2019, we began developing two DBAs to provide new income streams related to sci-tech editing and writing. By the end of 2020, it was clear that the changes occurring in the economy and covid-arena made previous preparations and prospects inadequate for the new economy and conditions in the US (and abroad, where most of my previous work originated).
In mid-2021 an opportunity arose to create an entirely new direction and entirely new field of endeavor in financial services. The most recent DBA, AA Cash Connections, is the focus of our current and near-future operations. It relates to providing alternative business financing, with emphasis on real estate investing.

Austin Word Werks is the oldest and most successful DBA operation (as an editing service started June 2012). A plan to develop four new income streams resulted in this website, but it was never fully deployed. My current editing is not dependent on this website, and it is available for purchase and repurposing.
AA Cash Connections (DBA and website) were created in March 2021. The website is now part of our marketing activities. Through these, we are now able to provide small businesses with fast cash, real estate investing funds, operating capital, equipment loans, and invoice advances for B2B/B2G contractors seeing payment delays.
